Glorious Servitor
Source: Lost Empires of Faerun.
Glorious servitors are exceptionally loyal and devout servants of the Mulhorandi gods. Exalted above most other mortals, a glorious servitor strives to live an exemplary life that embodies her deity’s beliefs and values. She has many rivals and enemies both inside and outside her deity’s cult, but she welcomes any challenge that gives her an opportunity to demonstrate her faithfulness and dedication.
Most glorious servitors are chosen from the multitude of paladins, clerics, fighters, and monks dwelling throughout the Mulhorandi lands. Of these, clerics and paladins have the easiest route into the prestige class, since they have Diplomacy and Knowledge (religion) as class skills. Monks and rangers also take up this holy cause from time to time, although some of the required skills are cross-class for them. Those who were rogues or rogue/assassins before entering this class usually serve Set, while those who were sorcerers or wizards typically serve Thoth.

Class Features
All the following are Class Features of the glorious servitor prestige class.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A glorious servitor is proficient with their diety’s favored weapon group, all types of armor and all types of shields.
Bestial Form (Su): The glorious servitor can assume the bestial form of her patron deity (see the list) as a standard action and remain in that form for up to 1 hour per day per class level, which does not have to be spent consecutively, but does have to be spent in one-hour increments. This functions as the best shape II spell, similar to the druid’s wild shape ability except that it is restricted to the sacred animal of the servitor’s patron. The servitor’s natural weapons in this form are treated as magic for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction. Reverting to her normal form is also a standard action.
- Anhur – Lion
- Baast – Leopard
- Geb – Brown Bear
- Hathor – Bison
- Horus-Re – Giant Eagle
- Isis – Giant Falcon
- Nephthys – King Cobra
- Osiris – Brown Bear
- Sebek – Giant Crocodile
- Set – Giant Scorpion
- Thoth – Giant Owl
At 3rd level, the glorious servitor can speak any language she knows in her own voice when in bestial form. This would allow for verbal components needed for casting spells, but not for somatic components without the Still Spell or Natural Spell feat.
At 5th level, the glorious servitor’s natural attacks are treated as aligned weapons matching the alignment component(s) that she shares in common with her deity.
Fearless (Su): Having been suffused with the power of her deity in body and mind, the glorious servitor is immune to fear effects. As a standard action, for a number of rounds equal to her class level, she can grant this immunity to allies who in a 10′ radius of her.
Spell Resistance (Su): The glorious servitor gains spell resistance equal to 12 + her class level.
Divine Shield (Su): At 2nd level, the glorious servitor gains a sacred bonus to AC while in her bestial form equal to half her class level.
Exemplary Prowess: At 2nd level, the glorious servitor chooses one ability score, and gains a +1 inherent increase to that ability. The same ability increases by another +1 at 4th and 6th levels.
Deific Obedience: At 3rd level, the levels at which the glorious servitor gains her boons from deific obedience are reduced by 2. If she is at, or past a level which she gains a boon, then she receives her boon(s) when she completes her obedience. This ability cannot stack with another class ability that reduces the level gain of deific boons. Consult the On Deific Obedience article for details and house rules on divine boons. When a divine boon grants a spell-like ability, the servitor’s caster level for the spell-like ability equals her total character level. The glorious servitor is still expected to perform the act of obedience every day needed to gain the benefits of the boon.
Divine Sight (Ex): At 3rd level, the glorious servitor gains a bonus to Perception while in her bestial form equal to her class level.
Greater Command (Sp): At 5th level, the glorious servitor can cast greater command as a spell-like ability using her character level as her caster level once per day. If the servitor has caster levels, she can also spontaneously cast this spell by sacrificing a prepared spell or spell per day of the same or higher level.
Poison Immunity (Ex): At 5th level the glorious servitor becomes immune to poison.
Mass Cure Serious Wounds (Sp): At 7th level, the glorious servitor can cast mass cure serious wounds once per day as a spell-like ability using her character level as her caster level. If she has caster levels, she can also spontaneously cast this spell by sacrificing a prepared spell or spell per day of the same or higher level.
Transfiguration (Su): At 7th level, the glorious servitor is transfigured into a mortal petitioner of her patron; if she is not already, her type is changed to a native outsider. Further, she may use her bestial transformation to instead become a hybrid form in likeness of her patron. This hybrid form is humanoid with a bestial head, and retains the natural attacks and the bonuses she has in her bestial form, as well as any mobility and modes of movement offered her bestial form (thus, an owl hybrid would retain wings and flight, a viper hybrid would retain a serpentine lower body and resistance to trip and similar maneuvers). She may transform between her hybrid and bestial form as a standard action at will up to the maximum duration of her ability.
True Sight (Sp): At 7th level, the glorious servitor can cast true seeing once per day as a spell-like ability using her character level as her caster level. If she has caster levels, she can also spontaneously cast this spell by sacrificing a prepared spell or spell per day of the same or higher level.
